I marched with some of the children and their parents from my class at a Waldorf school in Marin County. I remember how inspiring it was to be in the streets with up to 200,000 other people, all sharing my opinion that this war was a terrible, no good, evil proposition. I believed that the incredible turn out around the world would at least give our leaders pause, but Bush responded by saying he didn’t govern by focus groups. Some focus group! I also remember the dread I felt the day the war was launched;I was filled with awareness that we were all starting down a dark road that would lead to no good end.
