I came back from university for the day and marched with my Dad. He’s no longer with us but he taught me everything I know about justice, peace and equality. I remember him saying, “It’s times like these you need to get out onto the streets”. We joined the crowd at the Houses of Parliament and I’ll never forget the extraordinary sight that greeted us as we emerged from the tube steps below. The atmosphere was incredible, electric and very emotional. I’m glad we went, and devastated we were ignored.
